Senior Laravel Developer (Part-Time)

Honeybee Digital is seeking an experienced Laravel Developer with at least 4 years of professional web application engineering experience (including freelance delivery) to direct, build, and optimize complex software projects on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain scalable web applications powered by Laravel.
Design robust database schemas, complex relationships, and MySQL queries.
Develop, secure, and integrate RESTful APIs and external enterprise services.
Identify and fix performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and architectural issues.
Enforce code quality, secure development standards, and test suites.
Manage source code repositories using Git and conduct peer code reviews.
Recommend structural refinements to elevate existing enterprise systems.

Required Skills

Minimum 4 years of hands-on, professional Laravel software engineering experience.
Proven track record of delivering web platforms on a freelance or lead developer basis.
Expert mastery of PHP 8+, MySQL, MVC principles, and REST API design.
Strong command of Git version control, deployment pipelines, and app optimization.
Deep understanding of authentication, authorization protocols, and security best practices.
Excellent self-management skills to consistently deliver quality code under flexible part-time hours.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience integrating third-party payment gateways and complex web APIs.
Familiarity with modern frontend tools (Vue.js, React, Tailwind CSS).
Active GitHub profile, open-source contributions, or portfolio of live web apps.

Engagement Details

Hours per week, specific project scopes, hourly/fixed project compensation, and delivery milestones will be established during the interview process.
